This young quartet from Brussels, founded in 2018, combines technical precision with a fresh and energetic playing style. They have been guests at Flagey several times and now return with a surprising and layered program. They open with W polu lipeńka, a traditional Polish folk song full of melancholy, sparklingly arranged by Ignacy Zalewski and the quartet itself. This is followed by the powerful and expressive 'String Quartet No. 4' by Grażyna Bacewicz, the first female Polish composer of international fame. Debussy’s impressionistic 'Quartet in G' closes the concert with refined dialogues and dreamy sound colors.
